Personally I found an awesome kit in my weeks of study from HTGsupply.com through Ebay that would be plenty enough for your space it's a 400 watt switchable light and ballast that you can run both bulbs a MH for veg and a HPS for flower, out of the same ballast and reflector. for $165.00. I had some cuttings gave to me.only needed 12 gallons for medium/soil.($20.00 pro mix) for 6 plants. but the key element I think was the nutes were in a starter kit with step by step fool proof instructions and that I found on line for $65.00. Lastly this part needs work ,because the smell consumes my whole basement, is the ventilation. to do it right you should have a exhaust out and a vent in and that is gonna cost.
