Depends on the plant and growing conditions, some plants need water more often. Once a day should be fine for small plants in the larger rockwool cubes. Smaller cubes may need watering more often.

Thanx! Yes the name of the seeds are called black pearl. So il mayb feed themm when the rock wool begns to dry i guess,or just let the plant breathe for 12 and feed them for 12?

Are you talking about seed? Seeds need a moist but not wet starting media. No do not run water on your rockwool 24/7 it will kill your plants. You need to allow for a dry cycle so the roots can breathe.

80 is a little warm but ok.

Hey Whats hood NG!! Im have n a hard time growing My Black pearl. Is it possible to water root new germs by have n them submerg n water for to long ??? I don t want to waste thm, Also is it ok to grow in a temp of 80? Shud i always have my water runn n on my rock wool 24/7?

whats a good way to cut smells in my grow room...

I am new to hydro, short on money..... but smart. (i hope).... As I change from soil growing to hydro, I plan on using my current soil mix- potting/gravel/coconut fiber-- with multiple wicks @ 1/3 soil depth. Thinking I can adjust # of wicks for best results.
Do you think I can get away with this as I buy stuff.??

1. I'm sure you could but that would be a lot of hydroton. What's wrong with the current set up?
2. Don't re-route stale room air back into your grow space unless you have some type of co2 enrichment.

3. You can send me pics via Private Message if you would like. With you limited height you might be better off using a screen.

hey man im using a 150w hps vented to do an 8 plant deep water system(flower room), my moms (2) are in a 2 plant system and i have a cloning box above the mom room (veg room)

150w hps is in a 20" long by 14"wide by 23"tall box, well vented

2-12.5" cool white flourescents are on the moms and the clones have a 12.5" cool white too

questions:
1) do you think i could eliminate the 8 pod method and just use a large tub of hydroton rock? still using the 1"rockwool, i would keep in 3" pods, just burry them in a 20" by 14" tub, still alowing 3" from floor of tub to floor of pod dish.

2) i have my exhaust running out of the grow chamber through a filter which contains activated charcoal cloth, activated charcoal loose media (tiny rocks of carbon) and a paper filter to filter the air, is it safe to re-route that air back into the system?

only having 22" or so to grow, i am thinking the deep water system with the see of green method is my best bet, please let me know what you think, i would show you a picture, however im not sure how to send it to you, id rather everyone else not see my homemade masterpiece!

im a first time grower although ive set up about 15 grow rooms
