hows it going man i've been looking at your journals and i want to drop down on an led setup. i was thinking 3x3 tent for vedge w/ a 120 or 130 w spectrum led and for flowering have 3x8 with two 300 or 400 w leds depending on my budget. which lights do you suggest? any others that you suggest is good too other than growledhydro.com?

take the glass out will improve the light. not too sure what you mean by move efficient? cant make it use less power. leds will give you more potent buds with more frost over HID if you use the right lights.

Hey man, I am very interested in the LED thing (Basically any way to make it more efficient, really) and you seem to be a jedi in that shit.

the lights i use are all around good lights veg and bloom. but if thats all you want it for i would just get some CFL's like T5's save some money

irishboy, great grows! I was wondering if there is a LED light that is best for vegging mother plants, not intending to flower. Is there a specific model for this, like all blue or white?

i would pick the GLH led for sure over any other leds sepically the Jumbo 180w ive use them. the GLH are great leds for sure.

I am about to start my first LED indoor grow in a 6 foot by 3.5 wide by 2.5 feet deep stealth cabinet (DIY build) and was wondering if you would recommend the 180w LED from http://www.growledhydro.com or to go after a 5 spectrum 180w UFO from http://www.prosourceworldwide.com

I have read a ton of your posts and most of your journals, so I really value your opinion on this one!! :)

p.s. My first grow will be 4-5 Northern Lights Fem seeds in a home made bubbleponics system if you needed all of the details!! heh

Hey Irishboy, I have been looking at a couple of your grows and am fixing to make a substantial investment in led growing. for a small area, say 3'X4' going with soil? I have granddaddy purple, hawaiian snow, arjans strawberry haze, Super Lemon Haze and Bubba Kush (the last 4 are from Green House Seeds, the grandaddy purple is a clone from Tulare Alternative Relief, tha bomb specimen). Anyway, I have a 3X4 closet I will be using and need to utilize every square inch. It will be my first grow like this (always outdoors before) so I am a little nervous about going hydro, was thinking ocean forest/perlite combo. Any suggestions would be helpful

not too sure bro? you might be able to do it? never really mess with SOG and leds.

Hey I was thinking of trying out my first indoor grow, I have a 4x5 wide 7foot tall storage room in my basement. I found the "My 90watt led ufo tri ban" thread and read a few of the pages. If I wanted to do like 2 or 3 plants in soil, would you still recommend the Prosource 90W ufo - or is there something better that you've come across?

you would need allot of leds to do that. it would be allot cheaper to just go HPS. but if you really wanted to do leds i would chouse a few 180's

what light would you think is sufficient enough for doing 20 plants in a sog, for a zip per? i would love to do this, and start my own journal, thanks again for answering. feel free to send me a private message or whatever. cheers.

ya i think it is, as long as ur environment is dialed in. fresh CO2 and good temps and all that great stuff
