If it is in veg right now I would take a couple of clones of not the main stem but a couple of side branches. read morre bout how to clone on the faq I wouldnt take a cutting off a already flowering plant b/c the mother plants yeild will dramatically decrease. Once you have the clones in your medium i would check on their root every two to three days dont pull them out just move the medium away a little to see if roots are forming I would say once the roots are strong enough to support the plants growth without folier feeding (just to get started) wait two to three weeks in veg growth then you can put them under 12/12 good luck.

Man you can take as many cuttings as you want but if you still want the mother plant to live just take a few side branches. I said two cause the plant is younger and there probably isnt as many side branches yet and nute burn flush out the water with ph balanced water u can use distilled water. I wouldnt take of the main stem I would just take off one or two of the side branches. And 24 hrs one day 20-4 another 18-6 at last I realy doesnt matter cause the plant need more than a couple of days to notice 12-12. But u can do that to be sure.
