Lack of Nitrogen will make the leaves yellow off. If you are really close to harvest then I wouldn't worry to much about it. When you flush your plants they use up the stored nutrients in the leaves leaving a smoother tasting end product. This process is what yellows the leaves.

This is just some food for thought. A lot of growing is trail and error, tons of people do it for 1-3 grows and quit.
I would suggest you just try to run one set of plants taking them from clone to finished all at the same time. This will make it easier to keep track and take care of things. I would look into getting a Ebb&flow system. This http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/cap-ebb-gro-12plant-hydroponic-system-p-1640.html would prob work good for your area. The beauty of the system in you can take off and add buckets when you want to. Prob best to just buy it wil save you tons of time and headache.

Flood and Drain would require to get a tray and a res or buckets just like in DWC but instead of always leaving it flooded 24/7 you flood it for 15min 3-4 times a day. If buckets are used in this method like in Ebb&Flow systems you need a more advanced control bucket and a bigger res hooked to it.
With Trays you can do it different ways. Covered tray or no covered tray . Tray with medium in it or empty tray. Plants straight in tray full of medium or in pots. If you put pots in empty trays with no cover the light will keep the roots pruned to the plants pot. Note having no lid also will lose more water into the air driving up humidity.

Well if your gonna try and have a rotating harvest and want to feed some plants different food than others then you will need more than one res. Not sure what you mean by RDWC but trays are normally used in flood and drain systems. If you go flood and drain you will need a timer to turn on and off the pump. DWC would require you to get a good air pump and stones to put in the trays.

To make a DWC system you need to just hook a bunch of buckets together with hose putting net pots in all of them except one that is used to control the water level. This is a static system unless you add an inline pump to move the water from the end bucket back to the control. In DWC you have to keep an air stone running in each bucket 24/7. In this method the control bucket is very simply that a bucket (could add a float to keep it topped off).

Well. I've decided I want to go with a RDWC. I have a 4X4X8 closet with shelving about 5 feet up on either side. I was thinking about maybe getting a giant fucking tote as a single reservoir and pumping it through about four different flood trays. I'm going to use 3 inch net pots with 1inch rockwool cubes. I'm doing the SoG method and I haven't yet decided on a medium.

As it stands at the moment, I have zero of the components. I plan to completely sketch this out and figure out each and every facet before I fuck myself out of money again. I've already got a list of neuts that I can run by you.
