I have another question that is not related to organics. I respect your methods and hope you don't mind me asking.
(How Canadian eh, we're so polite )

I wonder if and how you prune. I have read many articles and opinions but there does not seem to be a clear cut, sure fire, best method.

I have a plant in hydro that is 6"tall and developing it's 6th node. I also have plants in dirt that are 4" tall and working on their 5th node. Clearly, if I prune, now is the time to do it.

My original plan was to allow the main cola to grow. I have read and it follows my own gardening experience that this is best for a prime specimen. If I prune to make 2 or 4 or more colas then I would have more quantity but not necessarily the same quality or prime specimen.

I also plan to clone the bottom branches relative to their access to light.

How do you approach pruning? Thanks

mine are 8 weeks now its mix of dank hybrids i create my own strains becouse im burned out on all the commercial strains plus after tom dick n hairy run there hands in it the quallity is gone for a few bucks so grow your own stuff im in the floor twitching after some of my stuff

It's 10-8-6. I read the back and it also has sulfur {1%}, peat moss, perlite and limestone.

Thanks a lot for all the help! My boyfriend ended up picking up something called Expert Organic Mix™ All Purpose Potting Soil. It was at Wal-mart {eek}. I'm hoping it will be alright. :/
