you are one lucky guy. all i have is 2 small grow rooms. one of the rooms is running under 6 cfl's and is now flowering and in the other room i have 2 drip system under a HO t5's. im from california. what about you?
outdoor scrogs are pretty cool. sometimes people use the screen to spread the plant out in 2 directions, and some use it to "grow the plant sideways". this probly helps with nosey neighbors =]
my light just turned on right in the middle of the dark period D,= for like half an hour. im so pissed. i dont want hermies
cant comment on the widow but i grew some haze that home boy said took him like 96 days or somthing i finished in under 80 with more amber so.....its really not so cut and dry. and really guys if you put chemicals in your dirt your gonna smoke some mad crazy alien weed???? commmeee ooonnnnnnnn guys its DIRTY WATER your putting in soil and then your worried about it contamination yor plant with harmful chem??? then why use it??? good luck man and i skoped your jounal rightous man best of luck
i flush for a about a week (i put about one dose of clean water about 1.5 gallons per gallon of dirt and out door i just hose the area down for about an hour on half stregth then let it dry the fuck out) and harvest as it begins to die. hang and dry for 2-10 days and then cure for 2-6 weeks. bam you got some good buds you can smoke all day (well a bowl of if you can) and when you wake up 48 hours later you wont get that nasty pot hangover that some of that mexi shwag can give yea
ok silly billys lets get this cleared up. people started flushing plants a few days before harvest becasue they noticed that as the plant ran out of much needed nutes at the end of cycle it would cause a massive "wicking" from the soil drawing in all prevoiusly unused nutes. the plant natural has a mass of stored hormones and starches in the root system that are only realesed in desparartion and it is often combined with "starving" (not watering) for one or two weeks to produce a final blushing bud. so i dont get this "i flush for three weeks" bull shit cause its about retared. i flush heavy no matter if im using organics or sythetics. i think i started with botanicare organics and then moved to fox farm and now kinda use whateva when eva cause it seems like they like a litle varaity and dont seem to care if its real or fake as long as the PHeel of it is right (k=just like some tig ol bitties)
hey man,, when it comes to organics, if grown in soil it will need little to no flushing,,, in my opinion with organics its more personal pereference, i personally always flush mine atleast once or twice
You would do well to listen to Shure Shot - basically organics need little to no flushing as there are no chemical compounds that have to be flushed out.
4 weeks of flushing is BS - I give the last two waterings as straight H2O & after cure the taste is sticky, sweet pure organic Bud.
Check out Subcool's Super soil recipe (there's a sticky) - it works great.
Here, I'll help. http://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/338384-2010-revised-super-soil-recipe.html

I believe your friend is mistaken. Flushing is a concept derived from the use of chemical ferts.
In a healthy organic environment, plants are not subject to large spikes of nutes to their entire root structure.
Roots instead receive more localized concentrations, and root development corresponds with it's local environment.
Therefore it is almost impossible to suffer burn, or to need for intensive flushing.
Since roots get what they need, from where they need, when they need it.
