They could both be at the same total wattage. But the 120 would run @ lower single wattages. Or is my reasoning totally off?

The lower the wattage = greater efficiency?

@steve870 Doesnt hydro involve a bubbler? How loud are those? @Wattzzup My plan was only for one plant for my first run. I think I may try to scrog when the time comes. I do think itll be atleast two months before I start growing. Amazon shipping has slowed down a lot for the non essentials.

Honestly I haven't even gotten that far yet. I do have raised beds that grow tomatoes quite well but I'm not sure how messed up that soil is. Recommendations? Lighting advice? This looks interesting. 2 foot strip build

@Powertech Probably build a drying box for outside @steve870 My first grow. And I think I solved my height issue. I think 1 plant in soil will be easier for me. Maybe later

Thanks for the advice. Back to the drawing board. I'll keep the 5' in mind. With the extra height I'll try to fit ventilation inside. Would you say ventilation (blower, filter, ducting) takes up about 12" away from total height?

@Powertech lol @ilovereggae House is 3 floors. I'm on the bottom (bedroom and living area). Grandparents on the middle (ground floor). They aren't the type to snoop. I think I'll just practice my woodworking skills and make an actual useable cabinet 2x2x4. But still keeping the grow in mind...

If I did go the 135 route. Wouldn't the heat be noticeably hotter?

@ilovereggae Yes Hawaii is legal for medical. I don't have a medical card. Not as concerned about the cops, more about the other occupants who wouldn't like it. @Powertech I would like to use a tent. But it seems a bit obvious. I think some stealth would go a long way with unwanted questions...
