trying to drill into my hs why do is it so hard

Lock tight seems like a bit of overkill to hold down some cobs... I've yet to have a cob screw wiggle lose on its own.

Last round went really well with narry a bit of drama. Really the 6th comp went super smooth once you left. The issue is you, not frozenchosen, not the cup, but squarely on you. This was supposed to be a somewhat informal contest between online buddies. Not a hard core competition like the...

trying to drill into my hs why do is it so hard

Drill press or hand drill? My favorite is a #43 mechanic length, HSS, TiN coating. Mark the spot where you want to drill with a punch, helps starting considerably. Slow and steady wins the race. Better to think about precision when drilling holes rather than speed. Also, dont us masonry...

trying to drill into my hs why do is it so hard

Regular flapper wheels and stainless steel wire brushes are ideal for finishing aluminum. dont cross contaminate by usingyour tools on mulmultiple metals. Label the tools you use 'aluminum only' and only use those on aluminum. Especially if you ever have to weld on the aluminum, contaminates are...

trying to drill into my hs why do is it so hard

TiN coated drill bits and taps are great for aluminum. Consider investing in a cheap drill press from hf TOOLs they're good for this. WD-40 for a cutting lube. Works great cleans up easy. I've seen others using propylene glycol for water soluble lube. Worked great when I had to drill 104 3.75"...

I don't think there are any DE CMH bulbs around yet. Just normal MH/HPS IIRC. Last I read beta test team over on icmag was a big fan of the cycloptics greenbeam reflectors. Those are around $500 each on their website. No idea what wholesale would be but still, adds up quickly.

Maybe not on electricity expenses for the lamps themselves. However you will save on things like replacement bulbs, labor replacing bulbs, servicing reflectors, and an overall reduction of load on the HVAC systems in place. These cobs experience very little output depreciation at the temps and...

Why do some guys wats to still use mono led with cobs?

Depends on what quality you're wanting specifically but yeah it can be done. More consistently too since grow rooms don't have clouds or seasons.

Why do some guys wats to still use mono led with cobs?

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. The reason is because they CAN. Most likely those individuals have an inquisitive mind an enjoy exploring the options available. To see what results from tweaking with the spectrum. Answer me this question. Why 3000k cobs? Why not 6500k for flowering...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

No, that's just a rough estimation of the average ppfd within that space. The edges would be lower, though as to how much I cannot say. A 1kw hps would produce a ppdf figure of about ~3300 in six square feet. So yeah, the plant under the plant would be dead before too long :P
