Careful what you wish for..... I'll be running 4000k this run for sure. I'm not sure if the 2700k decor chips are going to make it in. I'm not even sure if they still work. I'm using old left over parts this time. Swiss cheese frame from being recycled 4 or 5 times over :P Along with premium...

Tent brands your using your LEDs in.

I'd actually recommend avoiding gorilla tents... Over priced junk. I had to drill out 3 of the corner pieces and two of the vertical support bars for the dimple with the one I purchased. Use the 'price+shipping, lowest first' option and scroll until you see the first tent with the appropriate...

    LEC - Light-Emitting Ceramic

I don't know about now days, but in the past they were pretty prompt and thorough in both regards in my opinion. I bought mine about 2 years ago, LEC bulbs much more available now. They even have 120v compatible ballasts on ebay now days.

    Disorderly Light Theory

I did stumble across someone who built a self regulating CPU cooling fan using a TEG. I don't know how effective it would be for cobs though.

    Disorderly Light Theory

I'd like to sample some of what ever you've got in your pipe good sir. It must surely be some dank. :eyesmoke: Heat pumps need electricity to run Bacteria is not very good at producing electricity. Using electricity in the grow room raises the amount of heat energy in the room proportionately...

So I have a tough decision. I have two different varieties of bleeding edge genetics from amateur breeders I've never met from a backwoods town with a population just over zilch. I believe I was told the actual strains at one point, but let's just call them 'sandwich bag' and 'ziplock bag' for...

    LEC - Light-Emitting Ceramic

Well I just went and ordered a transformer. I've got an old parabolic reflector, a 3x3x7, and some fabric pots with some organic soil I've also been meaning to try out. Hmmm now what beans to choose....

    LEC - Light-Emitting Ceramic

I have an CMH I've been meaning to hang for a while now.... Probably should just order the transformer and give it a whirl.

Put the bulb in one corner of the room about 8' high and put the cup on the floor in the opposite corner. Should be GTG.

I had no issues starting my seedlings under a pair of 75w CXB3590's last round. Just gotta raise the light a bit. I have 4000k cobs this round though rather than 3500k.... Wonder if I should pop a few photo reds into the mix, or a 2700k decor vero 18.... Choices.

On a side note for those of you running LED's, dimming is allowed IIRC. I had to dim my lights in the 6th comp due to temp issues. @FrozenChozen is dimming kosher? I'd assume dimming for HID lamps would be in the same boat so long as the bulb itself doesn't change.

Thermal Paste TIM application Stencil Template for COBS

Depends on the thermal paste you're using. They should list a density in the specs. For PK-3 it looks like they list 2.7 grams per cm³. So for a .05mm layer of thermal paste on a 34.85mm² CXB3590 you would need ~60.73mm³ of TIM, which converts into .06073cm³ of thermal paste. Multiply that by...

Thermal Paste TIM application Stencil Template for COBS

I haven't been using templates. My method requires a cob holder of some sort. For the Cree CX series I put the chip in the cob holder, zero the scale, put the chip+holder on a scale, then dispense a 'line' of thermal paste down the center until the desired weight is achieved. Then I spread the...

    Water Cooling CXB3590

I highly doubt you will notice a performance difference between the two. You will probably notice a considerable price difference however

It wasn't a fault of genetics. They were strong, I just didn't feed them. I got busy with a big project and just kept topping off the rez with RO water, rather than mixing up more nutes. Time kinda got away from me and before I knew it the boy was in full blossom :P One of them had wonderful...

Nah, they were small and pathetic looking. I have a bit of pride I try to watch out for :P. Well the girls were small, the boy had cojones for days though. One little flick was enough to send pollen flying.

I dropped out and just let them go to seed. All conspiracy kush. One of them was a super colorful pheno I'd like to hunt for. I think I got 40 ish viable seeds. Not bad considering it was practically water only coco :p
