I've seen the spectrum charts of the epistar and cree 660nm and yes the cree seems to be the better choice on paper. But is someone actually going to be able to tell a difference potency/yeild wise compared to the epistar chips. Thanks

Yeah v2 have 301b diodes the v1 that i got are lm561c diodes. V1s are cheaper but less efficient (barley) on paper. You wont notice much difference.

@Budzbuddha built one using the qb and then re using one of the drivers. But was only able to power qb at 50 watts.... if im not mistaken... so your gonna spend 120 dollars getting it all set up when you could just bury that light and buy a new one that will be much better and will last you 10+...

You dont want the QB304's.... there old news. Qb288 v2 with 301b s6 diodes is where its at !! Or like i mentioned before get the qb132's they come in a 4 pack for 110 bucks!!! Each board can be powered up to 75 watts so you got a total of 300 watts of led for under 200 dollars... Qb-132 v1...

As of right now im running a HLG QB288 v2 260 watt kit. At the wall im able to pull 287 watts on high and on low it says 132 watts. Im in veg right now and i cant run over 150 watts at 18 inches or i get light bleach.
