Pic was taken today at 45 days into flower....I still see SOME clear, mostly cloudy though, and ambers started a week ago. Never has she matured this quickly, I've always run her 9-10 weeks and I could probably chop at 8 with fantastic bud. But i'm still going to try to push her to 9 weeks as...
So I accidentally stumbled here lol and saw you post this....at 6 weeks, my Fire OG cross is actually getting ambers under the 1000W SUPER HPS....I started seeing at 6 weeks which is super early for her and now im ending the 7th week and she's def producing more amber. I attest this to the...
If you use everything you got, the LED, HPS and CFL....i'd make your LED your main center of light, use the HPS on each side as close as you can get to the canopy, and then I'd use your CFL's for undergrowth and the bottom of the plant
Oh I think we all know how that goes, I still have to work with what I have sometimes. Been growing for only a couple years now and my current grow will be the first time I DONT dump everything I make back into the grow lol. Tons of DIY ways to get the same job done too, no need to go buying...
I started this as an actual grow journal, I saw the forum journals and decided to come here lol. So this is one of those strains that I can't wait to show off...and grow in some real conditions. I threw Grandpas Breathe in one of my grows, between the lights, just to see what kinda structure...
8-10 weeks maybe? I had them vegging on the back burner, then russet mites killed everything I was going to run so I had to put these guys into hyper veg. went from a 1gal pot to 10gal pot and then vegged under a 315 CMH for 2 weeks...was getting 2 inches of growth a day for those last 2 weeks...
LSTing, Scrogging AND topping....overkill in my opinion. I would LST then scrog. I think topping takes too long to recover and produces less canopy branches. LST at least gets those bottom branches up to the top with very minimal stress.
How big are your pot sizes? I would go either HPS...
Defoliation doesn't help a fully lighted bud site get more light. Artificial light diminishes at a very substantial rate for plants so being too far from the light to produce viable bud is simply being too far from the light to produce viable bud. (Viable meaning i would take the time to trim...
Thanks, tent is a 10x10
Lights are 2x1000W Hortilux Super HPS running on Hortilux Gold ballasts, with a 315W CMH between them. The CMH is the light that's on, I turned it on a few mins before the big boys fired up. Girls are a Fire OG and Deathstar cross. Running Cyco nutes only this...
Scrogging allows you to: Get light to bud sites that wouldn't otherwise, even out your canopy so your top buds are all getting the same light, increase yields. The pic is 3 plants in a scrog.
This is so dead on its not even funny. Never just pop the break to upgrade it...
So it doesn't require 15 amps to run, he was probably saying that it would run just fine on a 15A breaker. but the thing about a 15A breaker is that you can't run 15 amps continuously on it. To do so would cause...
The grow store near me did a soil test between FF and Roots Organic....kinda blew me away. FF is packed with tons of organics and test higher in food than RO. Lots of bacteria in the FF too. Light is the biggest contributor to your bud sizes. Scrogs tend to diminish bud sizes too.
A bud can have complete light coverage but if its too far from the light, then your wasting your time. (for smokeable bud at least) I'd rather have bigger top buds than trim popcorn.
I'm so busy that my buckets keep going bad on me but I like to do my own Bokashi compost....I'm a chef so vegetable scraps are easy to come by and the shit is AMAZING when i don't ruin it. Also the link in my sig is my current grow and i show how I scrog my plants into flower. the day I flip is...
Some bud sites should be removed. I think what OldMedUser is talking about is the bud sides further down the branch, not the main bud sites that get light. I remove the first 1-3 bud sites off each branch that holds viable bud. those bud sites are doing nothing for your weight, just taking up...
They seem to be getting out of hand a little bit TBH, they need to be cleaned up. Lots of debate out there on defoliating or not, but when you scrog a plant, there needs to be SOME defoliating. I do my defoliating slowly so not to stress the plant too much. If you take too many leaves off at...
