I'd keep it going, it will keep growing. It will probably grow slower, but it can still mature further without the fan leaves (I think the leaves on the buds can carry it till the end).

I've done it before - I couldn't really tell if it helped or not... but from what I've read it is a good idea. I'd only give them 2 days of dark before you chop 'em. Are you using a flushing agent like 'Final Phase' or 'Final Flush'?

... because, I believe, the soil and tissue of the plant still has plenty of left-over nutrients still in it. Flush for two weeks lets the plant use them up so you're not smoking that stuff.

Can someone describe how fimming is different from topping? Seems like fimming is the same as topping, except you cut at the very tip top of the plant, and only a little. Is it less stressful on the plant than topping? Aren't the results the same?

I've read that some people put the plant in total darkness for 24 or 36 hours before flowering... they say it speeds up the flip... just a thought.
