My guess is it's old seed and probably hasn't been taken care of. The fact that I even got them to sprout makes me happy enough.

I've been using the toss em in water bit for my first grow to good effect. Bagseed here. I run them over an emory board lightly before I toss them in water. But getting tap roots have taken up to five days for me.

Here are mine with the light readings. Seed on 8/25, transplanted seedlings on 9/1 (too early) Then baby 'Doug' that I'm attempting using moms 'toilet paper roll' method for the heck of it.
