On second thought, I just googled that bong and it is not the type of perc I was thinking of. But, it's called the "tar catcher" and the description says it will remove more tar from the smoke. The tar has to go somewhere, so I guess it ends up in your bong.

Definitely need to see pics. However, high quality percs diffuse the smoke through so many small holes to create as many bubbles as possible. The downside to this is they have to be cleaned very often and the small holes clog up quickly. That is why they made the perc removable. Most bongs...

I am currently growing a 1 plant Scrog in a 3.5g DWC setup. My net holes are 4"x4". I actually have the net only 2-3" above the base of the plant right now. As she grows I will move the net up gradually.

I topped at the 4th node. The plant was only maybe 5-6 inches tall. I posted a picture of it earlier in this journal. Also, I will be installing a high power exhaust fan and carbon filter so that should circulate enough air to keep my temps down.

You can get a 400w MH/HPS combo on eBay for $90. I have one and it's working great. It comes with a reflector not an air cooled hood, but 400w doesn't produce too much heat so with a fan or exhaust system it's fine. If you do that and then just place your existing CFL's around it you can easily...
