Yeah thats right, and thats exactly the reason for using a CC Driver and having not to worry about anything else. It varies "automatically" the voltage, so that all leds get the nice current of e.g. 700mA or 1050mA....Pico you posted all kinds of nice links, why cant you provide one reliable...

Yea, this happend after 2 months of my Panel running 18hrs a day. So no wrong connecting there...Also i think i would actually be too scared to wire that all while its running lol, except its a 12V pc fan. I read that usually a led Fails withing the first some 1000hrs or something like that...

I bet you are wrong. Please Show me atleast one Google/WWW source... Also i think this is wrong: Its the other way around! They would drive 100 leds in series if they could, but 100leds Need e.g. 400V and thats not easy to achieve on the one Hand and on the other Hand you dont wanna be around...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

If you run them with 6,2 Amps you have to run them in parallel then the the amps gets split to 3,1A each. In this case, if one led Fails then you suddenly run the other led with the hole 6,2A which might destroy it too....so imo you should run them with 78V and 3,1A in series...if one led Fails...

Hey JMD, im going defenitely to use metal Sheets to cover my heatsinks fins. What i wonder, I have like 9 Led Drivers that Im going to use lol, while I could put them on top of the heatsink, I dont want to have the "mains" anywhere near me or while working with the light. Is that a reasonable...

    Bridgelux Vero 29 LED Test

Connecting your multimeter in a wrong way and it can blow it up in your face....make sure to put the "sensor"cables in the correct connectors and to Switch wether to amps and voltage accordingly, also usually there r 2 different fuses 10A and less. Also its not hard to find how to measure...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

Hm i think i just would look at the Amps consumption. How much does the noctua take compared to the 120s? Hehe i have a noc+heatS. on my cpu. My 1€ ebay 140s use about 0,37A, i have much smaller fans that take much more and they are louuuud. I think i will have to watch the temps and see...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

Thx a lot. Yea i checked those IP codes, so i was wondering why the heck would i have to "earth" them, if I could "drown" them in water. But you say its for my own safety - I still dont get it. If they are fully encapsuled in epoxy or similar in which case could that protect me? The outer Metall...

PICO's DIY Thread - Advise, Ideas and Technology - NO PANEL REPS!

from the article i got kinda the main theme, dont drive them to hot or it might physically Change the led and Change its colour, dimming may Change them, and 100year old leds might be problematic too. So?? :-) WTF were those growers thinking

PICO's DIY Thread - Advise, Ideas and Technology - NO PANEL REPS!

it still would be funny to test that id think. Are those cobs really that unreliable and worse for a grow, could that be the future of easy growing (400W for 34$)? With easy screw-stuff you can Change them within a few minutes and have 12 of those vs 2 veros...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

Thank you, so 3pin with just using +- should work fine. Can you give me a very rough estimation how much better cooling would be doing it the way you suggested? Because cutting a metallsheet and getting those "fan holes" inside probably requires a lot of probably not cheap new Tools :-/...

    JMD's #2 Indoor grow (hydroponic)

Im planning to put two 140mm fans on it. That will cover almost every one of the fins (300mm width). I think the best Investment was buying that thread-drill lol. Its so much fun Drilling holes and putting a thread in. Allowing to easily attach anything i want like hooks, angles, distance...
