I did that with mine too, a couple tops rested against my cover. I clipped it down an inch below brown material. Of course where i grow we had humidity around 15-20day/ 50-60 night so mold is a slow process.
Don't feed, just use "ignore".

The fools are floating to the top, just like with a pool, skim off the scum
That could be true, more green material you start with makes for a greener end product. You could try dry ice hash with bubble bags. I just dont think the immaturity of the bud has much of an effect on the effectiveness of the extraction method. Could be wrong, maybe clear trich's hold on to the...
Every process has the same goal, seperate resin (most found in trichomes) from plant material. I don't know why the bubble hash method wouldn't work. Take a small sample now, dry it and smoke it see how you like it.
Flushing has zero effect on chlorophyll. Curing is the process responsible for breaking down the chlorophyll. Pulling early will simply get you immature buds with clear undeveloped trichomes. The high might not be what you wanted either, since the buds will be lacking the full terpene profile
.
Hmm, didnt think of that. I don't mind waiting to load to look at imbedded pics, easier to zoom in, which I like to do . I'm also kinda used to using large files after posting to my diary over on growdiaries(com).
Thanks for the suggestion.
UPDATE:
Took pictures this morning. Everything is progressing quite well, the sativa dom. plants are starting to stack on and catch up the earlier flowering indica dom. plants. Probably won't do another feed unless the weather turns and extends the ripening. It's interesting that there are...
Open containers of water that can spill are a hazard technology has afforded me the luxury of not having to worry about. And yes a guaranteed humidity vs something I have to monitor constantly much simpler. I suppose we should eschew cars because walking is good enough right?
Used the 62% boveda packs in my jars. Some jars havent been opened in 2 months, opened one up and buds are perfect. Seems like a lot of extra effort when the boveda packs are fairly inexpensive and are reusable.
Looks to me like you're in the home stretch. As the bud matures the pistils will die off and shrivel up. Followed by the calyx's swelling. The trichomes should (although I've heard that's not always the case with some varieties) continue their degradation and start turning amber.
Well done grow! Are you planning to just do a thorough search before drying? Or were you going to attempt a rinse after harvest to help with the mold? Either way fantastic grow and hoping for a smooth dry and cure.
