Do it how you want dude, im just trying to tell you what works... I had mine set for herbs and after about a week and a half they started to wilt and look like shit. Once I set it for salad greens they perked right back up:peace:

the roots will be in the res before they are 2 weeks old anyway dude... The idea is to keep the sponge wet at all times and to keep the water flowing so it don't get staginate... Also, get you a fish tank pump and a aerator... Gives the plants roots O2 and helps keep the water in the res moving...

I'm tellin you dude... set that thing to salad greens so the pump will run 24/7... on herbs the pump shuts off with the lights leaving your roots to dry out over night and giving the water time to staginate...

Yea... Those aerogarden nutes are shit dude. I too used the sprout nutes from the aerogarden... Didn't kill my plants, but it gave them bad nute burn on the first set of leaves. Mine were for the herb kit... I'm glad it didn't kill my babies off... I stopped using them after I noticed the burns...
