    rectangle pots

I think square pots in general would be a good way to maximize your light. Cylinders waste a lot of space that could be better utilized. I just never came across 'em anywhere that I thought weren't a rip off.

    Transplant Question

Well, I don't know, man, that seems like an excessive amount of water to me. I mean, I know they say to water until you see so much runoff. But all I am sure of is what works for me, and I'm using about a gallon on 4 plants every two-three days at their peak. I think of it like this, and I...

    Transplant Question

True you wanna add extra perlite, but it should contain some already. How much water are you giving how many plants?

    Transplant Question

If you don't care if you destroy the containers, there's almost no fear in transplanting, as far as I'm concerned. I do it just like I do the solo cups. Make a couple of cuts and peel the container away. You don't have to disturb the roots at all, but you might wanna loosen 'em up a bit if...

    Are these too small?

I am pretty sure those HLG QB 120s are like 65 watts max. They'd fit your grow space nicely though, I bet. You need to buy power supplies. And I don't know what else. But check out this vid of em (these are the 4k):

    Are these too small?

You could probably do 2 decent plants with that light. I would try to go just a little bit higher and keep the other light too. Is that an option?

    Are these too small?

I posted this somewhere else, but I bought a Bestva 1000 and a Viparspectra 450 Dimmable, which is a total of a little over 400 actual watts, or is supposed to be. When I first plugged them in, the Bestva was clearly a more powerful light, but its light was real red. I thought that might be a...

    Are these too small?

Those are fine, man. It takes 3 weeks to have something I'd even call a plant. Mine are in solo cups the first 3 weeks. It takes about that long for the leaves to get as wide as the cup. Then they start growing faster and bigger the next few weeks. That's where they gain the majority of their...

Need help !! Brown spot / drying leaves

You need to know what your soil is composed of and in what concentrations. It should be on the bag. Or else it's a crap shoot from the get go. Otherwise, you can't be sure how much you're changing the soil.

Need help !! Brown spot / drying leaves

Sometimes too much light will cause that. They do it as a defense mechanism to try to reduce the amount of surface area that's getting direct light. Or if they get too hot or too cold that can cause it. So can over watering. And so can problem with phosphorus. And given the spots on your leaves...

Need help !! Brown spot / drying leaves

Pretty sure that's just one part of a two-part formula. Do you have the base? What makes you think you have too much nitrogen? That root farm stuff ain't going to cause that. It has pretty mild NPK ratio. I'm leaning towards a phosphorus deficiency.

Heat stress ? Canoeing leaves help

I suspect it's just weak genetics. I just chopped an auto that looked just like that. It didn't like the light. It didn't like the heat. It was just inferior all around. I pushed it to flower, and it did. But it grew airy, string, bud and not much of it, and it finally stalled. I'm drying it for...

    Temp Drop When Flowering

Check it out. I was worried about heat at first. It was getting pretty toasty in there in the summer, so I reversed my lighting schedule. I ran them at night and cut them off during the day. But when I did that it caused it to stay at pretty much the same temp around the clock. This last grow I...

    another NEWBIE asking for help!!!!!!

60 percent is still way too much light for a plant that size. There's no doubt about it. I have a Vivaspectra 450 that's an actual 210 watts. That's too much light for a plant that size. I dial it back to about 60 percent blue, 20 percent white, and 60 percent red at that stage. Look at the...

    Is this a magnesium deficiency?

No biggie, dude. I'm just glad to have confirmation I'm learning, you know. I'm so jacked about this site and how much we can learn here from each other through each other's grows. Otherwise, it'd be slow going indeed. Hope you had the foresight to germinate some seeds. Best of luck, brother.

    Is this a magnesium deficiency?

Ugh!!! Sorry to hear that, man. I know how frustrating it is. But hang there. It'll get better every time. Shit ain't gotta be perfect. Just do what you can do and don't give up. Hell, there's no telling how much weed we've all smoked that's full of critters.

    First time grower, droopy leaves

Oh, thanks! I'm sure you will very soon. I'd bet in the next 6 weeks. Cause if I can do it, anyone can. I mean, I didn't even have a timer. So there were definitely screw ups.
