Dude, I would abandon those sticks. You have no control over what nutes your plants get. I would go a week or so without giving them anything and see what they do. Just pay really close attention so if any signs of nutrient defficiency show, you can correct it as quickly as possible. I would go...

I put my seeds in between wet paper towels, put them in a ziploc so the humidty stays high, and toss them in a drawer. Mine have taken anywhere from 3 days to a week, and all the seeds came from the same bud.
