Never had this problem before. Dont know if it is because I am using molasses for the first time or just bad luck. Any suggestions as to the best way to get rid of these things before they eat my girls up?

i live in the south and it has been very hot. i dont want to leave a trail to my spot but dont want my girls to burn up either. how much water do you think is necessary for a couple of 6 footers that are sitting side by side?
