See I always found its better to put em in, and start counting flowering when they start to form buds. Usually a week after I drop em in 12/12. Thou I have found bigger / longer vegged plants quickly bloom and easily transition to 12/12 and typically I count 5 days after dropping into 12/12...

the NL99's are all on the right, the plants on the left are cuttings left behind, c99, snowcap and some pcks. Which is why the growth is alot different on the two sides.
