I would think the higher levels of anthocyanins that exist in purple strains, would have a distinct flavor to it like chlorophyll does. Maybe that's what gives it the mineraly or "dirty" flavor.

Do all the purples have that flavor? It's pretty intense. Some people are really into it ...different strokes I suppose.

As far as purple strains go -- I've only smoked grandaddy. A buddy of mine grew some and it tasted like a super-strong, fruity pine cone. I think I still have some of the nug he gave me almost a year ago. I didn't even want to finish it. It made everything else I ripped in my volcano bag taste...

The only way to "INDUCE" :lol: plants "in the wild" to change color is to get them COLDDDDD. Indoors you could just feed with ice water or if in hydro put ice in your reservoir. It's not magic and you don't deserve any rep. for it.
