The sun is a very poweful light source. Its common to "harden off" your plants when switching a plant that was grown indoors to outdoors. You introduce it to sunlight for a few hours a day for about a week. But thats not always an option. They should do fine after a short period of shock from...
The activation of enzymes that encourages growth is inhibited by cold temperatures. Its important to keep it above 70. I started using a germinating heating pad and wow what a difference a little heat makes.
Yea I would flush them with a clearing solution. I have also read that you can use a weak mix of big bloom as an effective flushing solution. It grabs the salt that might have built up. Try to get the PH down to 5.5-6.0. The PH is very important, probably more important than using RO water.
Oh I think I misread your post. I thought I saw that they were a foot tall. But as long as they have sprouted your good to go. But it is best to wait a few weeks to get them going strong, then release them to the outdoors.
If they are a few weeks old and a foot tall like you said then I dont see anything wrong with putting them outside. You did good, they are much more likely to make it once they have sprouted a few sets of leaves prior to being placed outside. There really isnt any rule about starting them...
They do best with indirect light until they shed their helmets. The problem with putting them under direct light is that they might dry out before they get their roots out. Wait until they shed their helmets before you give them direct light.
I did a lot of research after my order, should have done it before hand, I wouldn't worry about not receiving your order. The Dr is a good source, I'm confident you will get them. Sooner than you think too. I guess about 10 days.
I have experience with both of them. Never will I order from bc bud depot again. I was dissapointed with the seeds. Horrible germination rate. Dr Chronic delivered the goods and the seeds germinated as expected.
What kind of grow crystals are using as a medium? My grandma uses the same ones for her glass flowers. I want to see pictures of plants growing out of those!
So its been a while since I have posted pics of whats happening lately. I made some changes, I got rid of the big monster plants that took over the garden. They are going to live on in the outdoors. Anyway that was the first go around and out of the 6 there was as follows: 1 female, 1 intersex...
I don't recommend that Hydrofarm hydroponic system in the picture above. It sucks, I think it was a waste of money. I was putting that setup together to grow some tomatoes or strawberries? I dont know what else to do with it? I dont expect it to work very well, it relies on a peice of fabric to...
I was just playing around with what I had on hand and I came up with a pretty good setup for a cheap diy grow tent.
The shelves are by sterilite and you can take out the middle ones and the legs keep stacking together, you can make it as high as you need. I even ordered panda film and a...
Congrats on your purchase of the GH waterfarm system. It is a great way to get into hydroponics. I have found it rather forgiving, but one of the reasons is the hydroton, or clay pebbles. Its hard to over water using that medium. But that doesn't mean you cant over water it. I recommend that you...
This is how I germinate seeds. The ones in the picture were at least cracked prior to placing them in the cube.
I start them in a damp paper towel with a little bit of heat from a germinating heating pad. Once they crack I place them in a presoaked 1" rockwool cube. They dont even get direct...
They're both good grow tents. The Homebox has nice construction and I haven't had any zipper issues with it. But the construction on the darkroom is a little better. The darkroom has a nice reflective lining, the homebox has the standard white reflective lining. If I was you, I would be more...
Someone asked about the airflow in a private message. The question was about being able to filter the odor as well as cool the tent on one fan. So Ill post some pics on how thats setup so everyone can see. First the air is sucked through the 4" x 12" carbon filter ($37 btw) on the intake side of...
