i was lucky to get a clone of the master kush, which is now a mother plant. My buddy asked if i wanted clones and i rushed right over there with a quickness! lol
ahh i see, im actually having two problems in my closet. In the daytime its high temps and low humidity, and night is low temps and high humidity, so i have to tinker a bit with controls to keep everything in range. I have a heater and a dehumidifier for night and use fans and humidifier in the day.
Im using a 6" fan in my 2x5x5 closet grow and i have trouble keeping temps down in there too, i also have 3 led lights crammed in there as well. Similar to what im planning on doing with the 8x8. cramming a whopping 4000w into that small space.
no i dont have the hoods yet, but your saying the heat will come through the ducting? i know those 1000w lights theyre going to produce a lot of heat. Maybe i will get some insulated if its not too expensive.
so im building an 8 x 8 grow tent out of 2x2's and black and white plastic sheeting. Im planning on flowering 16 plants. 4 girl scouts, 4 master kush, 4 black russians and 4 gorrilla glue #4.using four 1000w hps with air cooled hoods. 10" vortex fan w/carbon filter to exhaust the room and two...
ok guys this is kind of a crude drawing but its my schematic for the 8x8 setup. Ill put the intake vents all around the bottom of the room and the carbon filter right in the middle of the room on the top, and two fans cooling the 4 lights.
i saw those and those would probably work great for cooling but how would i hook that up to my carbon filter or lights? I would probably have to build some sort of baffle with ducting attached. I could see that causing some extra restrictions, and how powerful the suction on those things is what...
im leaning more towards this idea, i found a 10" carbon filter (1150cfm) and i could use the vortex 10" fan (780cfm) for the room cooling/smell extracting and then two 6" fans (256cfm ea.)for the lights and cool the lights seperately from the exhaust fan. That would give me about 1300cfm total...
upon further investigation, read the reviews on this brand and its a mixed bag. Some say they were good but a lot said bearings went bad and they got noisy and one even said it almost caught fire :/ also, i can get that vortex fan for $119 out the door! im probably going to do that.
the room outside the tent will be cooled with A/C and i can direct cold air into the intake vents if needed, then ill exhaust the hot air out of the room. Im also wondering if i should set the filters at the top of the room or down closer to the floor, ive seen them installed both ways. I...
so the 10" vortex has a 780cfm rating, what if i use a splitter like this, and hook two lights to each side with a carbon filter at each end. For 114 bucks those are a steal!
