if you got this far without a ph tester then you are on the right track, my guess is that there is salt buildup in the roots and they need a good flush, sometimes the salts will buildup and then the roots can not suck up water

try giving them a spray with water, if they perk up then you know that its salts in the ground and you need to flush with ph'd water, i have one plant out of 18 doing this same thing, about 2 gallons of clean water through the pot followed be half strength nutes solved it, if you think root rot...

your best bet would be to throw a pair of 600's or even 1k's on a light mover in there, otherwise go with 4 lights

if your 2 weeks from harvest then it might not be worth your time, i mean it will take a week or so to see results and by then you should be already be flushing

it wont work, sorry but there is no way to get around buying a ballast, the socket you are looking at is just a regular socket, the halide or hps wont light up without a ballast, look on craigslist if money is an issue, i always see them on there for cheap

well if you want to produce any buds you need to get a grasp of ph, a wrong ph means that even though the nutes are there they are not available to the plants so its important

your best bet is to hang the light strait down and place the plants around it, besides that the reflector is the most important part of your light setup, dont cheap out here with cookie sheets and other bull shit, buy a bat wing reflector they work good and are cheap as hell

hps will blow all other lights of the same watts out of the water every time, the thing i want for my setup is a generator but my neighbors are to close

well get their general hydroponics ph kit, its a bottle of ph up and down with a drop tester so thats the basics, then i would suggest fox farm grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom, another good cheap setup is general hydroponics 3 part

on 220 your drawing half the amps twice as much, so its all the same to the meter, they measure watts which is amps x volts so no matter how you wire it its going to cost the same
