you mean staying wet? The roots looked fine. 65-70° F 55-60% humidity, small computer fan for ventilation just to keep the leaves dancing.pretty sure the soil just needs aeration. I feel like its peat based so it gets oversaturated unless its in a hot dry climate.
So it seems like adding the perlite and vermiculite worked.I bored 3 holes with a toothbrush handle right around the root zone all the way to the bottom. I filled the holes with vermiculite. I noticed where i filled the holes its wet now. Looks like its leaching the water out and helping to add...
i agree, i should have added perlite, i had some but i used it for one of my other plants. Im going to be picking some up in the next few days and ill be using it in my future transplants.
everything ive seen to dry out soil has said to amend the soil, add lime or other organic meterial to aerate it. This soil holds so much water its crazy. So i added a bunch of vermiculite and perlite and transplanted into this bigger pot. I tried not to disturb the soil as much as possible but i...
so this is the first time im using this emerald mountain soil, but its just like fox farm ocean forest. Its got a lot of peat and some wood chips in it and for my veg set up it stays too waterlogged. So i got this bucket and drilled a bunch of holes in it and ill be mixing up a light fluffy...
Help! somethings going wrong. Its drooping bigtime and looks like nitrogen deficiency setting in on the lower leaves. The soil is staying super wet, i havent watered AT ALL because is so moist still. Maybe my soil is going anerobic? What do i do? Thinking of getting a heat mat and trying to dry...
Thats the thing, i havent watered them at all since transplanted 5 days ago...im thinking what if i raise them off the floor a little bit. Maybe that could bring a little warmer airflow around the pots?Or a heat mat maybe?
Day 19 the girls are doing good.I trimmed some more dead yellow leaves off of them. I noticed that my soil is staying super wet. Im afraid of it going anerobic. What should i do about it?
Thanks, yeah it would be a pain, and i could see damaging the plants trying to pull it all the way out.this way i can pull the whole screen off with one hand.
Day 16 i trimmed the yellow leaves off the clones. Also, i put a clone back in the mix from the first batch that finally caught up to the others. After 30 days it finally made it back! ;) its from the same mother plant so ill do something with it.
