ok ive heard of guys sticking them in the fridge to simulate winter, would that tend to help or hinder the process? I just wonder if it could get too cold and freeze the seeds, or if that would hurt them at all.
ive been making my own seeds by pollinating a few buds on my plants, but im wondering what the optimal times to wait after the seeds have been plucked from the plant is. should I wait a few months and "winterize" them? or just stick them in the ground? I had a hard time germinating even a few of...
ive got some good genetics locked away in these seeds but they are stubborn as hell to germinate, only 6 out of about 60 seeds and out of those six only one ended up being female.
i had only luck germinating outdoors but as winter sets in i may have to use a different tactic.i can see how this...
i thought that may be the possibility that the shells were too thick or too hard for the seedling inside to sprout, so i tried the sandpaper trick to soften the shells a little bit but still no luck indoors
let me give some background of my strain.I started with an afghani indica dominant strain (female), and found a seed from a bag of sour diesel which ended up being a male. So, i crossed them. I let the buds go to normal harvesting time and the seeds came out looking great. Nice big, dark brown...
almost week 6 and the buds are starting to fatten up a little, pretty much stopped stretching and now its filling out. i pollinated a branch in the back and waiting to see some seeds.
i cut the sour d male out of the other side of the screen and replaced it with the indica mom that had been...
so the male flowers are starting to open up and im getting ready to chop some branches off and try to get some pollen out of sacs. i think ill take the male branches away from the female when i try to extract pollen, just so i can make sure the pollen doesnt spread too much and the seeds are...
i taped an envelope on the tube to block the light so i could take a good pic. i used a couple things in my mix this time that made these babys shoot up like crazy, its called bud blood. and im using something called rhizotonic root stimulator.
heres the sour diesel male, im wondering how long...
well i guess this is going to be the beggining of a very long process. the sour diesel has shown itself to be a male.(ill upload pics later) so what ill do now is let these things flower until a few pollen sacs open up their flowers and ill pollinate a few buds on the indica then ill cut it out...
put the two mothers in the old bloom room waiting for their clones to start flowering ill know in about a week or so if the diesel is a male or female, cant wait to see how it will turn out.
