It will help, they are indeed good as supplemental lighting (that is what I use mine for now). Mostly any light that you give your plants will help them grow. And remember this, the more light you have the bigger your yield will be.

Be careful, some strains don't really like to be topped. But, how you grow is up to you.

I agree. Tin and plastic can give a diff taste to your bud when you cure it. But really growing is all about trial and error until you find what works for you.

When you harvest is up to you. Get a scope and look at the trichomes and determine when you want to harvest depending on the color and look of the trich. This is the chart that I use to determine when I want to harvest.

Do you have any fans on that mother? You might also want to try and crimp those stems to get a little strength. Just a suggestion tho.

I usually flower for 8-10 weeks depending on the strain of bud. Then again I like my trichs to be amber/cloudy so I can get a mix of both highs. But, really those flowering times that they list with the seeds aren't really exact it seems. Each flowering time varies with each strain and grow set-up.

You may get a bit of a stunt in growth, but not too much really. The only downside (or upside depending on your preference) is that usually the colas will be smaller, but you will have multiple colas that will approx. weigh the same as a single.

If that isn't Jack Herer than it is a similar strain. I have some of this growing right now. Looks similar to my last harvest. Also looks a little similar to Ak-47, but then again that is a lot of hairs for AK.

That is just how I was taught when I started, but my water out of tap isn't really the cleanest. Also, when you say you don't use an airstone..does that mean you don't have one in your res either?
