Input on small Pro Mix HP grow, por favor...

Quick question... what medium were these grown in? As I stated earlier this is my first attempt at using promix and I and am having some issues dialing in my watering. I have been watering to full saturation with a little runoff (maybe 10%) @ ~650 to 700 ppm (.5 scale) using a dtw Lucas...

    NOSTALGIC & UNUSUAL PARAPHERNALIA.

Unfortunately the only old piece I still have is an original graffix bong with those heavy ass soup can style bases. Extra unfortunate that it is in storage, in a basement about 1000 miles from here. But here are some things I had that I really wish I still had. An original protopipe, a...

    Pro Mix

I mean, I know there is a semantics game we could play here about the definition of 'soil' but in practical terms promix is hydroponics unless you are using it by amending it with nutrient rich inputs prior to using it. To me the biggest pro of PM HP is that the growth rates are superior to...

Who else chops and trims wet?

I think I might still have my protopipe laying around somewhere... remember those? I thought it was the coolest shit ever the first time I saw one.

    Promix HP soil - 6.5 or 6.8 pH ?

The makers of promix hp recommend feeding between 6.0 and 6.4. Promix isn't actually soil, its a buffered hydroponic medium. That being said, i haven't noticed my plants getting mad and I've given it feed as high as 6.8 or 7.

    Bleach for running sterile rez?

You taught me this years ago when I first joined the site! Still use the technique to this day.. cheers!

    Silica/silicon questions

I always use silica when running hydroponics. Excellent for strengthening the stalk and branches, overall plant vigor, and also improves the plants resistance to pests and disease. I typically use armor si at recommended strength with good results. Just be aware that mixing your nutrients...

How amber do you guys let your plants go before the chop?

I exclusively grow indicas and indica dominant hybrids and I shoot for 20 to 30% amber, but typically I know my strains well enough that I just go by the general appearance of the flowers. If they look done I typically am right in that 20 to 30 range anyway.

Who else chops and trims wet?

Terpenes are volatile organic compounds. They break down over time with exposure to the surrounding atmosphere. When I dry trim my buds smell better and the smell is more potent. Same applies to flavor. I've side by sided the process and the results were not close. If you have a drying space...

Who else chops and trims wet?

I haven't wet trimmed in a long time. I cut the fan leaves off, cut her off at the base and hang the plant whole. About 14 days later I break it down into manageable buds and it goes into totes. Gets rotated and checked daily for about 7 more days. Then I do a final trim and into the jars they...

Input on small Pro Mix HP grow, por favor...

The 3 bigger plants are just under a foot tall now. Going to top them in the next couple days. I've got a tiny bit of N excess and the beginning of a tiny bit of tip burn so I'll be back off the ppm just a bit. Other than that they are doing well.

    Newbie first harvest

Definitely not done. An abundance of fresh white pistils is a very clear sign that the flowers are not mature enough to harvest.

Is this ready to harvest? Week 15 in flower.

Like others have said.... many many new growers don't even get their first plant through harvest so you're already ahead of the curve. Small harvest or not, there is no better feeling than taking the first hit of a bud you grew yourself! Enjoy it and take pride in the fact that you'll be better...

What should I grow next? Poll inside!

I ran the Reserva Privada and it was fantastic. I am still sad that I didn't take clones. Good luck and I'll be following along.

    Does anyone understand logical fallacies?

I dug this up from a discussion i had about this a couple months ago. I really wish I could remember the website because it was a good resource. I feel like this is the part people neglect when discussing Appeal to Authority. "Be very careful not to confuse "deferring to an authority on the...

    Withdrawals

Yeah...... sorry but none of that is from not smoking pot expect possibly the anxiety and irritability. All of those physical symptoms are unrelated and I'd see a doctor.
