PLEASE HELP: WHICH SOIL IS BEST TO BUY FOR GROWING IN DOORS

With coco you feed nutrients with every water. You also water more frequently than with soil because they don't need big pots like soil. For instance, its normal for soil grows to be in 5 gallon containers. That same plant in coco can be in a 2 gallon container. Do not use miracle gro because it...

    Should I start flowering ?

Seeing as those look indica dominant I would say grow to about half your desired final height. Accounting for distance from light as well.

Coco coir comes in bags same as soil at your local grow shop. Only difference is with coco you have to ph for hydro i.e. ~5.9 instead of mid 6's

Growing in Michigan? Not for LONG!

I read the bills passed and it specifically states both the commercial side and the caregiver side. Caregivers will no longer be able to give overages to dispensaries. Caregivers can still supply their patients registered with LARA. The commercial side is the only thing that mentioned seed to...

    Michigan commercial grows coming

There would be a huge market to commercial growers. I'm going to attempt to raise funds to switch to commercial and having a turn key place would be great. We will now have to see what regulations the local municipalities enforce. Also, the 3 classes is the maximum not minimum. I just reread...

Michigan Gov.Snyder signs 3 new medical bills

From what I read the patient/ caregiver will stay the same. For now. The commercial side is now open and will regulate commercial grows dispensaries transportation etc. What sucks is you can't be a caregiver and an commercial grower. Looks like I'll have to give up my patients for serious loot...

    First grow in coco coir

I've run coco a while now and at first I tried starting directly in coco. I've since switched to starting them in jiffy cubes or whatever name brand you have locally. They seem to do a lot better in the jiffy cubes so I stick with those. Once they have roots I put em in a solo cup of coco and...

    First attempt at a manifold...

Looking nice. I love the outcome of manifolding but for some reason it slows growth down a bit too much for me so I only manifold when I have extra plants and need to let them stay small until it's their turn to flower. I will also chop plants down a few nodes to get a semi manifold just...

    Temperature & powdery mildew help

Buy some sm-90 dilute it to 7-1 and spray your plants once a week really good. This will kill and prevent pm. It's the only thing that works for me. Also look into why you're getting it. Pm is very hard to get rid of by sanitizing but you can lessen the likelihood of it forming by making sure...

Anyone use those mega sized HPS light fixture/reflector?

I only run large air cooled reflectors. My barn style ones are sitting in a pile. I replaced 4 per row with 3 large ones and my canopies are much more even and I don't get that outer edge stretching anymore.

    Which coco nutrients?

Look into dyna gro products. I switched to that about 2 years ago and I'm never looking back. It's one of the cheapest out there and I get the same results as I got with canna and h&g except less things to mix and more money in my pocket. Once you grow for a while you start realizing all the...

    Coco pot size

Height restrictions in the sense of the pot being on top of a tote but if the extra couple feet doesn't matter then that's not an issue. Also I doubt it's easy as just pumping out the old and refilling. I have to clean 2 55 gal barrels each week that are lightproof ed as much as humanly possible...

    Coco pot size

Just looked up Cap'n and i run my grow similar in some aspects but I'm not a big fan of the flowering method. It's like a dwc setup on each plant which restricts height, It's a lot of cords/things that can go wrong, and if you haven't dealt with nutrient reservoirs before you don't realize the...

it will stay smaller yes but not by much. The plant will grow less roots thus making it smaller. Look into scent products like onagel that remove the smell instead of just masking it.

Smell is going to be there regardless of plant size. Yes the more you have the more it will smell but it will still smell. Have you looked into setting up a carbon filter? Normally a plant will get 1.5 to 3 times bigger after you put the plant in bloom. Sativa dominant strainswill stretch more...

The big question, what should I grow next.

A plant may become root bound when the container is too small for the size of the plant but my point was you can keep your plant as small as you want. Just determine how big of a plant you want then put the plant in the appropriate size pot and you can start bloom as early as you want.
