Yeah I have a Blue Lab pH meter and a crappy Hannah PPM meter but it works... I have been growing for a few years just not in coco. I was looking at those Bluelab combo meters and would really like to get one that measures water temp, ppm, and pH. I was even considering getting one of the pH...
I am going to run DTW. I agree it seems like the best way to go. I have the whole set up ready to go just finishing up week 8 in my soil run before I switch to coco.
My understanding on this, and its just from reading not from experience, is that coco can be overwatered when the plants are in...
thanks since, I'm excited to get this grow going. Its been a long time in the making... should be cutting clones this week off my Querkle mom. I was probably going to use an inch or two of the clay pebbles in the bottom of the pots and go 100% coco..
Hey guys,
I've been growing organically in soil for a few years now and have decided to give coco a try. I have a really nice 8x8 room that is completely sealed and has the right equipment that the environmental conditions are pretty dialed in. I have a 3x6 table set up with a 40 gallon res...
How are you getting the ppfd measurements??
I looked up the formula and I'm getting a different answer so i figured I would ask.
The cobs are Cree 3590 3500k CD 36V powered by a 1.4A driver.
Yeah I hear ya. I've been growing for about 3 years and I'm just now learning about light I used to just throw a 1000w or two up and forget about it. I'm trying to familiarize myself with all this information. From my understanding ppfd is the best way to measure usable light right? And correct...
Now that I look at that I realize the scrog should probably be 5.5ft x 6.5 feet... which would be almost 36 square feet. So let me ask this... with the same number of cobs what would be more beneficial, spacing the lights slightly farther apart or shrinking the size of the scrog??
For an 8x8 grow footprint yeah it would be a stretch I'm only gonna do a 6 x 7 footprint. if they are all 12" apart thats 5' x 6' for the light and I figured I could extend the scrog footprint 6" on each side from that so the scrog will only by 42 sq feet of 6' x 7'. That should work right?
Just got (30) cxb3590's all the drivers, holders, lenses and heat sinks ordered and a 730nm strip for a flower initiator. Aluminum already got here in the mail! I'm pumped! building a new sealed 8x8 room with a new mini split. Ill have to do a journal on here. Never used LED's feel like I just...
Haha no worries man I know you're not telling me how to do anything I'm looking for advice. Thanks for the input. I would def consider giving this a try. I used to fumble around with balancing ph and all that and organic is so much easier. I haven't tried a "full organic" route yet. Maybe I will...
hahaha I've run into deficiencies just because I hate the way the fish smells and end up not using enough...I had a feeling it would clog the lines. I have a hard enough time finding people who use the GO line. How are your results with it? Do you use the full line? Do you find you have to feed...
Whats up guys,
I wanted to pick your brains a bit. I'm new to the form so first off whats up. I've been growing organic for about 2 years and I love it. I keep dialing it in more and more and every grow gets better and better. I'm at the point where I am going to build a whole new room that's...
Rayne,
I also believe that there is evidence suggesting benefits to running 730 during the day. From my understanding; What the Emerson effect is this: Using 680nm as a starting point, Emerson found that from here an increase to 730nm resulted in a lower amount of photosynthesis taking place...
