I wonder if instead of buying a product marketed towards growers, if one could just add sodium silicate (aka: water glass) to their grow. It is completely water soluble. I just happen to have a gallon of the stuff at home.

If you zoom in you can see bud hanging over and strings all over the place. Good thing I'm doing a scrog next grow.

I am curious about this as well. I came home one day to a third of my buds hanging over with bend stems. Even though I have an oscillating fan going at all times, the stems just can't support the weight. Would adding silica this late into flower be of any benefit? Or should I just tie them up...

Yea, I didn't grab any nutrients for it. I read the bag and it seems to be good as is. Once I get it transplanted I will keep an eye on it.

I checked the pH of the soil I have been using with some strips. It reads somewhere between 6-7. I scored my self some happy frog soil mix. No wood in it. Has a decent amount of perlite. The soil is still damp btw. The room I have the plant in for whatever reason stays about 65F A little on...

What is your pH?. It looks like it could be cal mag def. But i am no expert when it comes diagnosis. Check the basics first.
