    algae growth in aerocloner

How do you "cut the basket off" your 2" net pots? I'm confused. Are these those special net pot / neopreme sets on e-bay? As you can see from SWIM photo's there are 2" neoprene plugs -- do you need special net pots?

    algae growth in aerocloner

Thanks -- No significant light leaks. I even coated the top of the tote with krylon plastics paint to ensure nothing was getting thru. Re: hydrogen peroxide, calicum hypochlorite is being used instead (which I find often works better against pathogens). Redose every 2-3 days. Regardless, I...

what do you guys use to weigh buds?

$10 on amazon 500G x 0.01 Precision with piece counting Can put a bowl or Tupperware container on it, tare/zero balance, and weigh up to half a kilo on it -- over a pound at a time! The calibration weight is sold separately which costs as much as the damn scale! It's a 500G weight Haha...

    Bananas to get female seeds

Most agree that Rodelization is not a "sure" thing. It is quite a bit complex and things need to go just right. It is possible, but as I mentioned above if you want to ensure fem seeds, colloidal silver is your best bet IMO. Silver thiosulfate is a bit technique sensitive, requires caustic...

    Environmental controllers

Thanks @kratos015 ! I checked out the link you posted, does it do regular environmental controls as well or co2 only? Also wondering if I can ask a local welding shop to fill this o2 tank up with Co2 or at least swap out for a co2 tank? Take a peek...

    algae growth in aerocloner

Quick update: I took the advice that I read here and elsewhere on RIU... Added an extra light timer on hand to utilize as a 15 min on and 15 off control for the sprayers in the aerocloner. SWIM utilized a wooden board to lift the aerocloner off the ground to help increase temps slightly...

Oh wait, these aren't the HLG boards? I've really only researched the HLG QB's. Not saying nichia isn't decent, just don't know anything about them.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

How hard do you want to run them? I've read that these boards can be pushed a little harder with their only limitation being the heat sinks. They'll do 3200 max mA I'm going to run two of these boards on a HLG-320H-C2800A so 2800 mA. You could pick up the HLG-480H-C2800 and run them each...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Okay great. I don't know a lot about parallel, but I'd like to run at a higher power level than 2800 mA (which appears to be only around 150 watt). To run at that wattage I'd probably just get another QB 324 V2 instead. I wouldn't mind running a clip on fan over the tops of the LED heights...

@Stephenj37826 I just received four of your QB324 V2 boards. They look great -- fast shipping too! Thank you! Couple quick questions about your QB96 Elite V2's -- It states max 4200 mA with SSTX Heat sink + thermal pad -- how many watts would 4200mA translate into? If I can afford to, I'm...

    I’m stumped

I'm always checking and rechecking different res maybe that's why. If I had to test with drops on each one it would take for ever. And then top off the DWC or add nutes and recheck again, no way! Don't get me wrong, I don't calibrate every week or anything. I calibrated once when they...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I was just looking at those QB96's -- those seem powerful. What wattage are you running yours at? How do you mount them? You find them to be better lights than your regular QB boards?

    I’m stumped

Rather than switching to pH drops, continue to use your meters however make sure you've purchased the calibration items. They can be purchased on eBay for a few dollars and can make a difference if your meter starts to drift over time!

    DIY with Quantum Boards

@pop22 Quick update -- Received my QB324 V2's yesterday four total. Yay. They are smaller than I imagined from their website photo's and everyone's pics on here. Haha. Very well constructed however. The LED's look nice too. The sink seems like it should be okay too -- it's the level 2...
