    Medusa Diamond Syndrome

Picture 2 looks reasonable. I suspect it is stiff because it is only partially decarboxylated. You can tell by putting some on a hot nail (knife?) and watching for fizzy bubbles. With regard to waxes, if you set the solution back in the freezer for 24 hours before reduction, most of the plant...

    Medusa Diamond Syndrome

What is Medusa Diamond and fast crash Syndrome and what is being done about it? Medusa Diamond syndrome is when gorgeous perfectly formed crystals turn to chalk over night or the "sauce" fast crashes into gravel while trying to initially precipitate out and grow the crystal. Techniques that...

    Does anybody use sublingual tinctures?

If you remove most of the alcohol, so that there is only enough to keep the oil flowing through a dropper, it will be diluted enough that it is no longer 95.5% ethanol and no longer burns.

5% would most likely be a little stiff for beta myrcene. I would probably start at 1% and work up. You can vape straight beta myrcene and you will get the idea.

Cooking it longer does reduce the total THC and increase CBN, but not in direct proportion. Interestingly, Beta Myrcene is the couch lock in cannabis, not the CBN.

Thanks for your good thoughts and appreciation! Instead of adding water, try removing most of the alcohol and use it sublingually. Alcohol and RSO will mix at any ration so if you remove enough alcohol, the oil becomes the menstrum and the alcohol the solute (less than 50%). Leave just enough...

Thanks for the good thoughts and appreciation brother! Light, heat, and oxygen degrade RSO. Kept in an opaque airtight container in the freezer, it should last for years. Some 2000 year old hash was found in a tomb and the very center of the brick was still active THC. Unfortunately I have...

Freezer: shelf life of frozen bubble hash

Hash degrades as a function of heat, UV, oxygen, and moisture. Frozen in an airtight opaque container, it should last years. Archeologist found some 2000-year-old hash that was still good in the very center of the brick, where it was protected.

    MCT and everclear question?

It will work either way, but the concentration can be higher with the alcohol extraction subsequently mixed with MCT oil.

    Bane marie decarboxylation

Shorter and faster is better, because the same heat that is decarboxylating is also converting THC to CBN, et al. I use 121C/250F and watch the bubbles to tell when it's done, approximately 30 minutes. https://graywolfslair.com/index.php/10-the-alchemist-resource/10-1-decarboxylation

    Estimating output/potency from QWET process?

We typically yield 18 to 25% essential oil from the strains we use. My one time lowest was 5.7% for a land race strain (Harlequin), and highest using QWET was 21.6% (God bud).
