Legal Weed is destroying Cannabis Genetics

We are pretty spoiled up here for sure! It’s so prevalent that we give it away. I hadn’t seen my buddy in years and he swung by my house last month and left me with this nice mature GDP mother. Just potted her in one of my 50 gallons. Gonna be a monster come October!

    Is this bad?

Water, light and loads of nutrients! There’s a river out here that runs thru the heart of wine country and all the fertilizer runoff from the wineries causes crazy algae blooms all the way to the pacific.

Legal Weed is destroying Cannabis Genetics

Out here in the Bay Area, a bunch of classic strains are making a huge comeback in the grey/black market. Bubba, OG, GDP, WW, GG4 etc. The genetics really aren’t that hard to get if you know the right folks.

    Russet mites

Almost positive they were russet. From what I can find online, broad mites don’t group up and form a mass on the petioles that looks like a yellow fungus or a thick layer of pollen as seen in the photo below. The leaf damage on my plant looks exactly like the first photo I posted as well. I...

Anyone ever try one of these garage LED's to veg?

I’ve seen a few posts on forums with people using them to veg and the plants looked fine. You really don’t need much to veg a plant. A friend of mine uses shitty Amazon “500000w” blurples and vegges monsters before throwing them outside. He gave this one to me a few weeks ago. The light he was...

    Pruning during flowering? (Larf branches)

Yeah you can. It shouldn’t hurt anything. There is big debate over whether or not it actually swells up the other buds. I only take the shit from the very bottom of the plant but some people strip everything except the main cola.

    Humidity problem start of flowering

They make window insert kits that can disguise it a bit if you’re after stealth

Best Kingbrite LED for growing purely landrace Sativas?

An LED would be good for any sized grow as long as you get the right setup. For something that small. You’ll want around 250 actual watts for a 2.5x2.5

    Humidity problem start of flowering

That should sort everything out for you. I run a 50 pint in my 11x2 room with over 30 plants and it works great. I’d still try and find a way to duct your exhaust out the window and save $$$

    Humidity problem start of flowering

A bigger dehumidifier will fix the problem but it’ll cost you in electricity. I run an extraction fan during veg when I dont need co2. Once I flip and start running my co2 gen I don’t have a choice but to run the dehumidifier. It balances out costs a bit since the lights are on less during flower.

    Russet mites

man people really do not read threads and instead just come in and start mansplaining  I appreciate the responses but I didn’t post looking for advise on how to treat them, I’ve got it. I was just asking where the fuck they disappeared to. That mass of bugs was there and then it wasn’t! If...

    Humidity problem start of flowering

If your extraction fan is already running at full power all of the time then plugging in an inkbird won’t sort the issue. Where are you dumping the extracted air?

    Russet mites

I have neem but for mites I use floramite if I’m still vegging

    Russet mites

This morning I found a plant in my little ghetto veg closet that had a big nasty yellow mass of russet mites on the fan leaf petiole. I was in a hurry so I grabbed the plant and set it out on the patio and left. When I came back a few hours later to toss the plant the mass of bugs was completely...

    Custom veg only light

For heat sinks in the low power boards, I saw a poster on another board using aluminum yardsticks that he bought at a dollar store. I can’t find the post but he said they work pretty well for extracting heat with the added bonus of structural rigidity. Might be worth looking into. I did a quick...

DIY flood tables and grow trays

How do you like those lights? At first glance they look like shitty Amazon blurples but I went and checked out their site and they have some crazy high par numbers! Surprised I haven’t seen more of them, the numbers seem legit!

    Highest Yield Strains for Outdoor

This GDP been vegging in my buddies closet for 2 months and then in my grow room for the past month. It’s been kind of forgotten about a few times and was left outside for a week so it started to preflower. Just transplanted it in my 50 gal smart pot so I’m hoping it’ll be a monster! I’m just...
