Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

We are now somewhere in week 8 of flower. Lots of purple showing up on the plant. The stringy colas are staying that way. I’ve tried my best to flush the plant out when it dries, hoping to remove some N, but cold temperatures have really reduced the plant’s water intake now. I think I’m...

    bodhi seeds

Just dropping in here to say this is my absolute favorite thread in the forum, and a massive inspiration to me. Really love the even, respectful discussion all through the last 100 or so pages I’ve read to get up to date. I have one pack of Herer Hashplant I got from seedsman sitting in my...

Do I need to worry about co2 concentration?

I do love me some scientific method, thanks for that link. I’m just gonna let it all rock for the time being, but I might have to grab that reader sometime before flip just to keep my mind at ease. I don’t wanna get into co2 supplementation unless I have to, and if my room really does turn out...

Do I need to worry about co2 concentration?

Cool, thank you guys for the reassuring replies. I don’t believe that AC units typically draw fresh air when they’re running, they draw through the filter on their front face, cool that air via the coils, then blow it back out. It would be inefficient for it to have to bring outside air down to...

Do I need to worry about co2 concentration?

Hey fellow growers I have an indoor grow slowly getting up to speed right now. It’s in a shed on my property, and one of my biggest concerns is that the shed itself doesn’t have any ventilation. It has four windows, one of which has an AC unit in it at the moment. The AC unit does not have an...

Two healthy colas and two weird ones?

It is worth mentioning that I did fight PM on this plant for a couple weeks last month, but I haven’t seen any since. Edit: I’ll just keep giving her plain water and see what happens. Since this plant went into the pot late in the season and isn’t nearly big enough to take advantage of all that...

Two healthy colas and two weird ones?

Listen man I picked up this and the saxophone during quarantine to avoid going insane. It didn’t work, I’m fully insane now and I just play the sax for my plants. Seriously though am I just being a worrier? The colas just look so intensely different that it definitely has me concerned. I have...

Two healthy colas and two weird ones?

Hey all, I’ve recently noticed that two of the main colas on my plant are relatively dense and have healthy leaves, while the other two main colas are much more open in structure, with clawed and curled sugar leaves and lots of stems. My outdoor bag seed grow is around day 43 of flower by my...

FOR SCIENCE: Eating Moldy Weed [SUCCESS]

The toast was absolutely green, go check again. I don’t think OP is trying to dupe us. Let’s think about this objectively. The primary danger with botrytis spores is an allergic reaction in those who are sensitive, it’s not super notable for producing toxic substances in the way that black mold...

FOR SCIENCE: Eating Moldy Weed [SUCCESS]

On a serious note, I’ll feel really bad if OP gets hospitalized or turns into a clicker from The Last Of Us lol

FOR SCIENCE: Eating Moldy Weed [SUCCESS]

You guys are party poopers, he’s not giving anyone else his nasty bud rot weed, he’s just doing crazy shit all on his own for our entertainment and horror. This has been a rare opportunity and I for one appreciate this intrepid adventurer’s complete lack of sense

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Since it was August 4 that I noticed the small flowers on the plant, I’m gonna call Aug 1 the first day of flower. That puts the plant at day 38 of flower now, hopefully halfway. Two of the main branches have relatively thick colas, maybe approaching a Red Bull can in thickness, and the other...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Guess I’ll find out in a few months! I definitely might augment the 315 with some LED around the perimeter where the coverage falls off.

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Have you used the 315s during flower and found them unsatisfactory? I’ve read they’re superior to hps for quality of the bud but not necessarily gpw. My indoor setup is a backyard shed, so there’s no concern over smell, but I have to walk through the yard to get there so isolating the plants...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

I like your style Joe, definitely similar to the approach I’ve been deciding on in my head. I can’t wait to do a larger indoor op and do a pheno hunt with the Bodhi seeds I got, then keep the chosen plants around in some form forever. I’m gonna keep a mother from the bag seed plant just because...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Been a while since last update. Big mama is deep into flower now, stretch seems to be over. Realizing that lack of direct sun as the angle of the sun’s arc across the sky changes is going to limit my harvest to some extent. On the plus side, the mystery buds smell amazing at this point. Very...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Yeah I would definitely be giving up on mobility if I went that route! I originally was using the wagon to keep her in sun on days I was home to keep track, but now that she’s switched to flowering I’m not moving her anymore, don’t wanna be too inconsistent with the sunlight and potentially...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

I didn’t end up needing to flower that cutting after all. Came back from a trip out of town for a few days and she’s flowering! I can’t help but wonder how big she’d be right now if I’d planted in March instead of late May! I’ll surely find out next year. Now that we’re working with...

Bored At Home: First grow ever (outdoors, bag seed, attempting organic/living soil)

Not much to report, cutting is slightly rooted and under a light to force flower now. Sun shines, plant grows, I watch. The two top shoots got fimmed and I’ve trained the branches below that down also, giving me around 6 even tops so far since the plant is still recovering from the FIM.

She did! and the cutting: I slept in today and woke up with the cutting bathed in direct sun and shriveled up all over again. Assuming I ever do get it established it may just be a herm by the time I flower it, lol. Pray for it while it’s recouperating under its shade/humidome
