Time to reject the Malthusian notion that our lives must be justified by drudgery.

Yes but employment as a concept doesn't really exist in a world of self sufficiency does it? You would provide enough for your own and that's all. There wouldn't be any stockpiles of grain that we don't need and this mentality that we need to take for the sake of it wouldn't exist. Of course it...

Time to reject the Malthusian notion that our lives must be justified by drudgery.

I think we have the Roman empire to thank for this way of life. You want to go back to a time with a simple life where one is self sufficient but even that way of life would of contained hardship and bullshit that we don't really like to do.

    Seedlings Falling Down

Yes but you fell a little short with the idea of putting a nice big hps or something 3 inches away from the things if you don't mind me saying. Why don't you just tell him to put them in the oven ;D There is no point in telling him/her to give in when they aren't strictly speaking dead yet.

Its worth a try. If you look at the tiny leaves on those they look seemingly healthy. If he very gently buried those stalks and got them in some light they would stand a chance.

    Seedlings Falling Down

Bury those stalks up to nearly the top under the first leaves and put them in a nice bright airy (not cold) window and fast! Don't put a big light 4" over them like he said because that would just outright kill them. Don't over water neither. Just keep the soil in those lightly moist. I hope you...

    spots on buds/fan leafs

Could be a lack of N. You are nearing the end of flower so lower leaves yellow is not abnormal. You could give them a hit of grow nutrients if it gets drastically worse.
