what would too much nitrogen do to a plant?

i might give that a shot for this plant... it's gone through some stress with its' current soil and i just wanna let it chill out and be itself. the new top growth is beautiful but the undergrowth is looking like it's being beat up pretty bad by the soil, plus i'm pretty sure the clone was...

right so i'm looking for advice on a soil to get from home depot or lowes to use for transplanting to a 2 gallon pot.... using a sd clone that was started in some awful mg soil that has stunted growth at 3 weeks.. any and all advice tips and help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, walt

i'm wondering how i'm supposed to pull the plant out of it's current little cup... do i like start on the outside and dig the soil out and pick it up then or what? she's kinda thin-stemmed and i need to re-pot her with it buried some because she's a lil bit stretchy and i figure i might as well...
