No, this is not correct. "All" growers do not flush. And nothing is "required". Enjoy life in the bubble you have created for yourself.

Can I finish trimming before bud is completely dry

Well, it will last as long as you take care of it. I have some packs that are on their third drying/growing. If you stress it much, like making it put out too much moisture it will ruin it pretty quick. Gets chrystalized. On the other hand, if you take care of it, and keep it near the 62%...

Can I finish trimming before bud is completely dry

Well, I've never had mold probs, ever, in 30+ years. These days I hang for 10 days or so in 65% humidity. Then final trim and put them in mason jars w/the 62% Boveda packs. For up to one year. It ends up perfect, never had a complaint. Boveda 62 is a solid product

Looks like your planting medium is a little hot. Just a wild assed guess actually, probably wrong.

    stunted growth??

Maybe. Kind of. If you look at your plant from above, and the leaf spread it to the edge of your container is to the edge or 1X1.5X beyond, it's time to translant. For example, you have a 4" cup. You have a 6" wide plant viewed from above. Prime time to transplant. Roots will be well filled...

Can I finish trimming before bud is completely dry

FWIW I trim all the excess when I harvest them, bring them down stem by stem. Only cut and trim your big stems once, it pays big time. Just get it to near 62% and use these...

    potting up ?

Well..... having repotted a few thousand plants (maybe 400 MJ plants) I can say it's not a burn for the replant. Just a period of adjustment. Easy to do....

    why-are-some-of-my-plants-leaves-turning-black

What's the running temperature of that room? Cold temps bring out the dark colors, i.e. lack of photosynthesis and chlorophyll gets weakened. 50 - 60 degree F brings out a lot of dark colors on plants.

    Old guy does first grow.

There is nothing that gives a return on investment better than more light on weed. Buy yourself a 600 and you will get your investment back first cycle. 1000 if you can deal w/the heat.

    Growing in pots or ground?

There's a place out-of-doors for both in-ground and pots. In-ground you have unlimited root space, assuming your base soil is decent, or amended it to be good to grow in. In pots, above ground: you have the flexibility to move them if need be. I grow some 7-10 gal containers on the West side...

Are cuttings good until the center is no longer green?

You are way better off in damp moss/soil, rather than standing water. Hard to do the way you are trying to do it. No oxygen available to roots.....

    READY???

It looks like they are getting burned up somewhat, and not actually ripening. Cut the heat and light back a couple weeks and then harvest. If they were mine I would try to get them in 65 degrees F for a couple weeks and let them chill and firm up.

Will an inline duct fan push enough air?

My experience with a similar product is that it was weak and bad, had 2 that burned out like yours within hours, each, luckily Amazon replaced both. For this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002JQ14F8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 No comparison. The cheapie you are looking at...

    What deficiency?

Without reading through all the previous replies I would say give it a lot more light. Getting stretchy, light will beef it up considerably. And some N to boot, it is going to want to grow now.

First time tent grower PLANT ISSUES

20% humidity is pretty damn low, Get it toward 50% or above. You can grow at 20% but you have to know what you are doing. If you are actually @ 20 you will have some problems down the road.
