    What's the hype with autos?

I might well do. It is very tempting. I have actually done shed loads of research. I have been growing for 20+ years. I have seen and done all sorts of daft stuff. When I started the internet was this thing that you went on occasionally, it was very slow, expensive and information on...

    What's the hype with autos?

I get how they work. I get that they don't have to be under 12/12. But my only tent with suitable lights also houses my Photos. It has been suggested to me that whilst it isn't perfect Autos will happily work under 12/12. It is just a stop gap until I have enough photos to fill my new tent...

    What's the hype with autos?

I have just got into the idea of Autos. I bought a new flowering tent and made my old tent a vegging tent. My new tent is twice the size of the old tent and I only had enough plants ready to start flowering. So someone suggested I fill the unused space with Autos and start them in the...

    Flushing

The whole concept of flushing is complete "bro science". It is something that has always been debated about and flys in the face of horticultural science and logic. Yet, people claim they can tell the difference between flushed or not flushed weed.

    Good organic soil mix?

I was not aware you could get such a thing. I have considered getting a water filtering jug. I am leaving my tap water stand open for a few days to help it de-chlorinate.

How quickly can a plant become pot bound?

Thanks for the quick reply. I will have to look at potting them on again. I had banked on them being in 2.5L pots for 4 weeks.

How quickly can a plant become pot bound?

I transplanted my 4 week old seedlings from 500ml pots to 2.5L pots last Wednesday. They were pot bound. Today I notice that they are showing signs of being pot bound again. I have roots coming out the bottom of the pot and the top of the soil. Can they really be this bound in 5 days. It is...

    Nutrients for soil grows

After many years of pissing around with expensive nutes and grow mediums. I use regular a regular peat moss/ compost mix from the garden centre. Add a handful of vermiculite and and a dash of Microrrhyiza to each pot. I pot up twice adding fresh compost each time. They get water up until...

    How to prepare your water

I have been growing for 20 years. I use tap water. I fill up big containers and leave them vent in the grow room for a few days. Mainly because it allows the water to adjust to the ambient temperature of the grow room. There is nothing worse than applying cold water directly to the root system.

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

You are 100% correct. Pro-biotic is a poor use of language in this instance. A better term, in this case, would be beneficial micro-organisms.

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

It is something that I have always believed to be so. The thing is the word soil is incorrectly used to begin with. I grow in a medium called Jack's Magic, it is a peat moss based compost mix with added calcified seaweed. But cannabis people call it soil. Soil is what you dig in the garden...

Mycorrhiza Fungi...why you should get to know them...

Spot on. In the UK Great White mycorrhizae is £40 for 114g, it is aimed at weed growers, comes in a fancy blue pot with a picture of Jaws on the front. The very same stuff sold by Amazon for general gardening is £15 for a kilo. I am a complete convert to mycorrhizae. The started using it on...

    Are nutrients essential?

I have been growing weed for 20 years off and on. Back in the day I used Hydro, Canna A+B and PK 13/14, then I went to organics. It was a few bags of Bio-Bizz All Mix, then loads of Grow, Bloom and Top Max. Cost a fortune. Then I had kids and couldn't afford all the fancy pants nutes, so I...
