Seems to me it shouldn't take all that much C02 to stimulate plant growth. What I have done, in the past when I still did such things, is to water my plants with salt free Seltzer. The plants got the H20 they need along with a dose of Co2 to grow on !! Seltzer is /was cheap too. Go buy a case...
