Well the first one (enclosed in the case) there is a number of ways. I took the easy way and took some wire and wrapped it around the light and then used that to hang it. You could also drill some eye bolts in the sides or top and use those to hang it making sure not to short the ballast inside...

Think you might be a little confused there, aeroponics is where you mist the plants. DWC (Deep Water Culture) involves the use of an air pump and you drop the roots in the aerated solution. In that type of setup you would run the pump all the time. If it stopped running it can drown your plants...
