No purple stems. What do purple stems indicate?

Roots are all white, look very healthy and are growing fast. My tds is only reading about 440ppms which I thought would be low if anything. Ive read autos are prone to over feeding so I've purposely kept the nutes light. I did let the water level drop a bit. We'll see if that helps. Thanks!
