Im running 2 600w lights in a 8 x 4 tent and there is really no more room for my large carbon filter inside the tent. Has anyone ever built a box for one that allows the tent air to get pulled outside of the tent and get filtered through the box?

I will be running oscilating fan and there will be a window open. The light and fan will be on a timer and I made a light proof shroud for the window to keep light out. I'm only trying to grow 3 medium sized plants without going full out with the set-up.

Thanks. That's what I thought. The hydro shop guys are trying to talk me into a full set-up. I'm just going to go with the all-in-one switchable that has a built-in ballast. I got that quoted at $216 including both bulbs. I can always upgrade to the better quality lamps at a later time.

I'm growing 3 plants in the corner of a tool shed. The walls are mylar lined and there is a window. The temp high is 76 with a fan going( 82 without). If I run a switchable 400w HPS/MH and I can keep the temp down, do I have to run ducting and a cooling fan to the light?

Thanks. It's just a thought. I would line the walls and top with those foil camping blankets and there are no holes. But now I'm thinking of hanging a 400w and ballast for a real grow.

I've got a fold-up portable closet that measures 18" deep, 27" wide and 5' tall. It's just a frame with a zip up cloth cover. Is it conceivable that I could line the inside, hang some CFLs and grow with it? I'm just curious because I see all these DIY cabs and this one is ready to go. Of course...

I'm doing a late outdoor grow in So. Cal. My girls are in the 3rd week of flowering and we are having a storm so I put them in the tool shed under some 42w, 2600 lumen 2700k soft white CFLs for the day. I read the CFL thread but I still want to know if my bulbs are right.

Well, to report on Sunday's keif brownie breakfast..... very disappointing. Only stayed high for an hour. Now on to Monday's dinner. Bong loads of a killer local sativa called Southbay Diesel, gourmet italian food and Monday night football!

I've already peaked, crashed, ate and am preparing a bong hit for the second half. Life is good!

Woke up to some strong Yuban and a keif brownie that I split with my wife. That was an hour ago and I can barely type this. SWEET! But, being as it is her first edible and she rarely smokes, she is currently praying to the porcelan God. Whoops....I had no idea that 2 bites of that would wreck...
