Dunno if it bothers you, but IMHO a large shiny thingy would probably be visible from miles away. And another thing - tin foil is useless for reflecting light. If you really decide to do such a thing - use mylar.

Yeah, the plants are totally dependable on moon phases. You should also be facing east and throwing your seeds over your left shoulder, while standing on your right foot. :-) Just germinate em, put em in soil end love em, man, everything will be just fine, if not awesome :-)
