Different pheno's would be my guess. They will be different in their needs and grow differently. Using the same res for different pheno's has its drawbacks due to this very reason. I do it all the time so I know lol.

You really think soil produces a different effect? I've never noticed a difference, well actually i find I like the taste of hydro lol but no difference in effect.

I think OP is doing right by putting that size in, better to have then to want is my motto! Only thing I may have done is start training a while back but by no means an expert in the art of SCROG. And as far as stretch, grow out a white russian and be amazed lol the thing stretches to the sky...

As Tek says unless they are truly snapped in half they will try to grow straight and you need to tie them down. The White Russian has hollow stalks and breaks at the slightest bend. Scared the crap out of me first time lol.

I run tea and also run sprayers so doubt its root issues that are making my ph change. Could it be the sprayer set up, not as efficient perhaps? More water evaporation than nute uptake perhaps? Draining the res as we speak.

Read up on some DWC grow journals and pick what others have done that works. As for strains I would suggest White Russian. It is easy to grow and packs a punch. I just started 12 afghani from house of green gardener that are doing real well. Dont choose bag seed as its a crap shoot and why waste...

My PH drifts down over a couple of weeks, always has. Start at 6ish and change res at 5.6-.7ish. What would make PH drift up? I just assumed it always will drop with higher concentration if nutes in water.
