Yeah so the ppm is usually 150 and under last I measured it it was 132 like last week. I know our water is super hard. Growing in fabric pots you really see the calcium and salt build up on them. I tried to find a detailed report on my municipal water supply but I couldn’t find anything that...
Yeah it’s an unfinished basement, the odd thing is that the ac worked fine in the heat of the summer I think the ambient humidity in the basement is so high that the spike the ac gives off is similar in percentage so the dehumidifier can actually take out the humidity. Also another variable is...
The temps and humidity vary depending on season but late spring into summer it gets hot and humid down here 80F and 70RH, the colder seasons tend to be dryer so I can usually expect from late September into early November the temps and humidity to be around 70 and 30-40RH, and the winter it’ll...
So as of now I have a 6” intake fan and 4” exhaust with a few oscillating fans, both intake and exhaust run constantly on full power. On top of those I have the ac and a dehumidifier in the tent. And even when I run the dehumidifier the spikes lifespan is like 2-3 minutes than the humidity goes...
So that was my first thought was to try and cool my basement temp and use the intake and exhaust fans to help cool the tent but with the type of unit I have I can’t run the exhaust out anywhere because there’s no place for me to run it out to. So I have it in the tent exhausting out into the...
They’ll hit anywhere from 78-81F depending on the temp of the day. We’re in the fall here so it’s getting cooler out but in the basement they tend to stick around 75-80 until the nights start to get under 40 consistently. And the spikes occur both lights on and off.
Yeah so I can hear the compressor kick in and than it goes back to exhausting warm air. And it’s one of the basement or floor units that you run a exhaust vent out to either the outside or some other room.
Hey y’all, I’m running into very intermittent humidity spikes in my grow tent. About every 2-3 minutes my RH will spike about 15-20%. I’m running a portable ac with the exhaust running out of the yent into the room the tent is in. I’ve noticed that along with these spikes the ac exhaust goes...
I am aware of that! I had a pretty beat up clone that I’ve barely kept alive that I ended up using as the guinea pig. I filled a 3 gal bucket 100% with the super soil and will up pot if the soil does what it needs to do. Will I still face issues possibly?
Well that’s the thing. It being my first super soil recipe ever that I built from scratch (like many others). I can’t be completely confident in it buffering appropriately, that’s partially the reason why I made this post!
Good comparison but my worry is that because my water PH is so high, that continuously watering throughout the life cycle will drive the soil PH up. Which goes back to the having watering dialed in. Watering at 8+ ph will just make it harder on the microbes to regulate and lower ph when the...
Yeah so this is just a test run to see how viable my soil is, I plan on going to a 7 gal indoor just to get some feedback and data on if the soil will need anything, if my tap water ph being too high will cause any issues, etc.
I do I have dolomite, and oyster shell flour along with crab meal too. But my concern is that my water ph being so high buffering it from so high up makes it difficult to get optimal ph ranges even with the ph balancing amendment
i have recently made my first super soil batch, the soil ph is about 7. My tap water after being put through a carbon filter for Chlorine/chloramines comes out at 7.9-8.5 depending. Should I be PHing my water? Or should I be trusting the microbes in the root zone to be buffering to the proper...
Sorry to revive an old thread but. I thought I’d give you guys an update for helping me grow the best outdoor buds I’ve ever grown to date. Firstly, thank you for all the super sound advice. I took in all the recommendations and tips I could from here and because of that the quality and yields...
Jeez that stuff is pricey, I use both recharge and photosynthesis plus, but honestly after this grow I might just stick with photosynthesis plus and some molasses and kelp teas.
From my research it’s pretty common to see most recipes overdo the nitrogen so I’m pretty sure I over did it in mine as well. My problem or confusion mainly is this. If I have feather meal 12-0-0 and than crab meal 4-3-0 would I be adding the numbers and than taking an average as my end NPK? And...
Right so I have the end totals of the NPKs of all my amendments. It was finding how much of each I should use that I wasn’t finding much hard information on.
