The root network is quite exposed on all 5 of my plants! This cannot be normal. Maybe this results from over watering? I'm laying off the water anyways, but should I add a layer of new soil and/or peat moss just so they're covered or leave em be? I don't wanna wait to see what happens...

very likely explanation. I sprayed them all over with pyrethrum a while ago to deal with spider mites. it worked, but obviously took a toll on the poor girls. thanks yall
