Uneven moisture levels? I was watering with a syringe so I didn't flood them---- could that be from moisture close to the plant and dryer soil further away?

They sprouted November 10th. Humidity is pretty low... I'm not sure on exact level- I haven't checked yet. Had them under a dome for the first 2 days. Misted a couple of them to get the shell off- after reading that it could rot the leaves. Just using tap water- ph 6.4- 6.7. Should I use...
